CHANGCHUN, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Douglass Kiprugut of Kenya and Ethiopian runner Yalganesh Gedefa triumphed in the men's and women's race, respectively, at the 2026 Jilin City Marathon on Sunday.
Kiprugut finished first in two hours, 13 minutes and 37 seconds, 33 seconds ahead of Ethiopian runner Capital Degefa. Kenya's Solomon Timo Suter finished third with 2:15:50.
In the women's race, Ethiopian runner Gedefa emerged victorious in 2:33:27, followed by Chinese runner Lu Ying in 2:34:05, and Ethiopian athlete Delele Bizualem Cheklie.
